See the full list of road closures, locations of special event clearways and real-time traffic updates at Live Traffic NSW.
- Road closures will affect access into some precincts within the event course footprint including King Street Wharf, The Rocks and Pyrmont. See the respective maps below for more information and check Live Traffic NSW before heading out on the day for more details on access to these areas.
- The Cahill Expressway over Circular Quay and parts of the Western Distributor including on and off ramps will be closed between 4am and 11am. The Sydney Harbour Tunnel remains open throughout the event and is the best way to travel north or south of the city while the road closures are in place. Detours within the CBD will also be in place, see Live Traffic NSW for details.
- Some Sydney CBD buses will be using temporary stops and alternative routes until 11:30am while roads are closed for the Half Marathon. Allow extra travel time or catch a City Circle train instead. Plan ahead and go to Transport Info for more transport options.
Special event clearways will also be in place between 3:00am and 10:30am. Clearways are no parking zones – even for local residents or businesses with parking permits. Check signs carefully before parking as vehicles left in clearways will be towed and towing fees apply. If your car is towed it will be moved to the nearest available parking space, you can call 132 701 to find its new location.
